If you want to start from the beginning, then we can help you. With us you will get the benefit of learning in a club as part of a regular club activity.
if you would like to learn to dive and have never dived before, we would recommend that you first come along to one of our try-dive nights, just to make sure you like it!!!

The following course will help you to complete your first open water dives:
Ocean Diver certification
This course is for you as a beginner and provides the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare you for Open Water diving. The Ocean Diver course prepares for this in the safety of a swimming pool and is an introduction to Open Water, in a controlled, safe manner. Experience and confidence will be gained under the guidance of our qualified instructors and once qualified as Ocean Diver you can dive to a maximum depth of 20 meters.

Do you already have your diving qualification? then join Surrey Aquanauts!
We can offer you dives on our club-RIB or via our Hard-boat diving program, from where we dive all around the UK and Abroad!
You’ll also get the opportunity to learn advanced techniques and specialised skills.
The real advantage however is having a group of dive buddies who meet regularly, both for diving and social events, with whom you can gain further experience.

Not BSAC?
I’m not a BSAC diver! Now what??
Not a problem, we welcome all diver! PADI ~ SAA ~ CMAS etc…
They only thing we require is that you do a very small conversion course, just to show you how we do things and get up to speed with our systems.
Afterwards we can offer you dives on our club-RIB or via our Hard-boat diving program. You’ll also get the opportunity to learn advanced BSAC techniques and specialised BSAC skills.
But the real advantage however is having a group of dive buddies who meet regularly, both for diving and social events, with whom you can gain further experience.

If you want to continue your diving carrier, we have the following BSAC SCUBA Diving courses on offer:
Sports Diver
In Sports Diver training you build on the scuba skills you learnt in your Ocean Diver course (or entry-level qualification from another agency (see the conversion chart below) and help develop your confidence, skills and experience in the water to allow you to enjoy a wider range of diving sites and conditions. Depth can be built progressively to a maximum of 35m after qualifying. As a Sports Divers you can also embark on the first steps of the route to instructor.
Dive Leader
As a BSAC Dive Leader you are becoming an expert in your field of dive leadership. You will also be competent in planning dives for groups of divers and managing diving on the day including, if necessary, managing rescue situations. Dive Leader training covers responsibilities and safety of leading other divers. Depth can be built progressively to a maximum of 50m after qualifying. Dive Leaders are eligible to progress to Open Water Instructor.
Advanced Diver
As a BSAC Advanced Diver you are a highly qualified branch diver. This course is for divers who are interested in extending still further their skills in planning and supervising diving groups, rescue management skills, whilst building seamanship and developing further leadership qualities. Divers gain experience in planning dives at different sites and different circumstances. Additional experience will be gained in using small boats, chartwork, navigation and many other related skills. Advanced Divers are eligible to progress to Advanced Instructor.
